The short version: Use CyberPosture honestly. The assessment gives you useful information about your security posture — it is not professional security advice and does not guarantee compliance with any law or regulation. We are not liable for decisions you make based on your results.
By accessing or using cyberposture.app ("the Site") or any CyberPosture service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, waitlist members, and (when available) paying subscribers.
CyberPosture provides a self-assessment tool that helps small businesses evaluate their cybersecurity practices. The assessment consists of questions you answer about your own business and generates a scored report based on your responses.
CyberPosture is not:
Results depend entirely on the accuracy of the answers you provide. We have no ability to verify your answers or independently assess your security posture.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract to use this service. By using CyberPosture, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You agree not to:
All content on the Site — including the assessment questions, scoring methodology, design, and copy — is the proprietary intellectual property of CyberPosture. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Site without written permission.
The framework references (NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls v8) are publicly available government and nonprofit standards. Our specific implementation, questions, and scoring are original work.
By joining the waitlist, you consent to receive a single email notification when CyberPosture Pro launches. You may request removal from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@cyberposture.app. We will not send unsolicited marketing.
When the Pro tier launches, additional terms will govern billing, cancellation, refunds, and data handling. Those terms will be presented and must be accepted before subscribing. The pricing and features described on the Site reflect current plans and may change before launch.
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE ASSESSMENT RESULTS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND RELIANCE ON ANY RESULTS IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CYBERPOSTURE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY SECURITY INCIDENT THAT OCCURS DESPITE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE ASSESSMENT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $100 IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CyberPosture and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
For EU/UK users: nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will update the effective date at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will notify waitlist members by email.
